Terms of Service
Standard terms and conditions governing international forwarding, customs bonds, and land transit.
1. Scope of Service
These terms govern all shipping bookings, customs clearance coordination, block train container bookings, and 3PL storage services arranged through Scan2Freight. All shipments are subject to carrier space availability and regional border gate approvals.
2. Shipping Liabilities & Caps
Our liability is governed by international maritime rules (Hague-Visby Rules) and standard aviation covenants (Montreal Convention). We recommend purchasing comprehensive marine cargo insurance to safeguard high-value enterprise shipments.
3. Customs & Border Processing
Shippers must declare accurate weights, item classifications, and commercial invoice values. Incorrect declarations leading to border seizure, delays, or customs penalties are the sole liability of the shipper.
4. Billing & Remittances
All freight rates, customs bonds, and warehousing charges are billed under contract schedules. Standard COD collections for e-commerce deliveries are remitted to merchant accounts according to agreed cycles (typically 7-10 working days).
