Leasing Schemes Breakdown

  • Short-Term Leases (Spot Hires): Spot rentals ranging from 1 to 6 months, ideal for sudden volume spikes or short-term project cargo needs.
  • Long-Term Leases: Fixed-rate leases spanning 3 to 5 years, providing stable equipment availability and fixed operational costs.
  • Master Lease Agreements: High-flexibility contracts allowing shippers to pick up and drop off empty containers at various global depots based on real-time trade lane needs.

Container Off-Hire & Return Inspections

Returning containers at the end of a lease requires clear inspection standards:

  • Fair Wear-and-Tear: Minor scratches, superficial rust, and normal floor wear are accepted and covered under the lease.
  • Off-Hire Damage Assessments: Structural damage (holes, bent posts, broken door rods) is recorded, and repair costs are billed based on standardized IICL repair rates.

Contracts FAQ

What is a Master Lease?
A Master Lease is a flexible container contract where the lessor maintains an inventory at designated depots, allowing the lessee to pick up and return containers as needed, paying only for the days used.
What happens if a container is lost?
If a container is declared lost or damaged beyond repair, the lessee pays the lessor the depreciated replacement value defined in the lease agreement (Declared Value).
