Heavy Haulage Drayage
Manage transport of oversized OOG cargo on national highways using lowbeds and multi-axle modular trailers.
Highway Drayage & Heavy Transport Equipment
Oversized road haulage is the critical connection between shipper warehouses and ocean ports. Standard dry cargo trucks cannot carry loads that are too wide or exceed axle-weight limitations.
We operate a fleet of specialized heavy transport trailers, including lowboys, semi-lowloaders, drop decks, and hydraulic multi-axle modular trailers, configured to distribute weight safely across highway lanes.
Axle Load Regulations (MoRTH India)
Heavy haulage must comply with axle-weight limits defined by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to protect road infrastructure:
- Single Axle (2 tyres): Maximum weight limit of 9 metric tons.
- Single Axle (4 tyres): Maximum weight limit of 11.5 metric tons.
- Tandem Axle (8 tyres): Maximum weight limit of 21 metric tons.
- Hydraulic Modular Axles: Capable of carrying up to 18 metric tons per axle row, used to distribute extreme machinery weights.
Road Safety & Escort Vehicle Staging
Ensuring safe transit on public roads requires specialized safety measures:
- Pilot Escort Cars: Vehicles equipped with yellow flashing warning beacons driving ahead of and behind the oversized trailer to warn traffic.
- Night Transit Restrictions: Large OOG cargo moves are restricted to off-peak hours (typically 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM) inside municipal limits to prevent traffic gridlock.
