Depot & Storage Operations

Uninterrupted container tracking, empty container storage yards, and advanced reefer Pre-Trip Inspections.

Container Yard Logistics & Gate Operations

Container depots act as intermediate storage hubs for ocean shipping equipment. Shippers drop off empty containers after import delivery or pick up containers for export stuffing.

Our depots are equipped with heavy reach stackers and follow automated gate-in/gate-out inspection logging to verify structural integrity and record high-security bolt seals.

Reefer Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) Procedures

Before dispatching a temperature-controlled container (reefer) to a shipper:

  • Refrigeration Diagnostics: Checking the compressor, evaporator coils, fans, and sensors. The unit is run to verify it can reach and hold target temperature ranges (from -30°C to +30°C).
  • Calibration & Log Checks: Calibrating temperature probes and clearing data-logger memories to record new trip logs cleanly.

Steam Washing & Cargo-Worthy Preparations

Ensuring a container is cargo-ready prevents contamination:

  • Washing & Deodorizing: Steam washing container walls and floors to remove grease, chemical traces, or residue smells from past voyages.
  • Moisture & Odor Audits: Inspecting plywood floorboards for dampness or oil stains that could damage sensitive cargo.

Depot FAQ

Why is a PTI required?
A PTI ensures the refrigeration system operates properly, preventing equipment failures during sea voyages that could result in spoiled cargo.
What is a high-security bolt seal?
A high-security bolt seal (complying with ISO 17712) is a metal lock used on container doors, designed to prevent tampering and theft during international transit.
