Managing Global Container Equipment
Containers are the building blocks of global intermodal transport. Keeping shipping containers clean, water-tight, and structurally sound is essential to protect cargo from transit damage.
At Scan2Freight, we operate dedicated container yards (depots) offering comprehensive services, from structural inspections and steam washing to advanced reefer refrigeration repairs.
Our Core Depot Capabilities
We keep your shipping container fleet cargo-worthy and moving across major ports:
- 20ft & 40ft Stacking: High-capacity container yards optimized for container storage, tracking gate-in/gate-out logs via electronic registers.
- Pre-Trip Inspections (PTI): Testing reefer refrigeration systems (compressor, fans, temp controllers) before dispatching to shippers.
- Box Cleaning & Washing: Steam sweeping and washing to remove debris, smells, and chemical residues to make containers cargo-worthy.
Container Services FAQ
What is a Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI)?
A PTI is a technical check performed on a refrigerated container (reefer) to verify that all cooling systems, sensor logs, and power components operate correctly before loading perishable cargo.
How do you check for container leaks?
We perform light-leak tests (inspecting the dark interior of the container for external light entry) and water-hose tests to ensure door gaskets and side panels are completely water-tight.
